Akyab- A court has sentenced one Muslim man to death for his part in attacks against Hlun Htein outpost in Maungdaw North in October.
Akyab police chief Yan Naing Lett told AFP that Mohammed Ata Ullah was sentenced on Friday but did not give any date for the execution.
Ata Ullah is one of the 14 men being held for attacks on the border post. The fate of the 13 others have not been decided yet.
The convicted men have not been allowed to defend themselves. They have also faced inhumane torture in custody.
